It’s Wednesday so I’m at the caner center, currently I’m in the chemo room getting good old Herceptin. Meet with my PA who had the MRI report back that showed the tumor is gone! There is some residue showing but she guesses that is from the drugs because there is a war that has been going on inside my breast. But for the MRI to confirm the breast exams is so great, even though it doesn’t get me out of chemo. There was also a lymph note that lit up on the first MRI that is no longer which is awesome. My doctor was proud of himself, which was funny. Im glad for his wisdom and care for my case. He retested my cancer at the start of all this, thankfully because it tested positive for something we didnt know before. And because he did that, the drugs changed and those drugs are working well and stomping the cancer out! We meet with the surgeon on Friday, which surgery will still happen because they have to get a clean margin. Also the MRI only shows so much, you can see all cancer cells on reports and tests. But no tumor means easier to preserve I would guess. This feels more what I thought halfway would feel like. Happy for good news and hopeful for the rest of this chemo part of the journey. Feel like I actually can do this and carry on. However getting chemo or Herceptin is always so nice I probably will slightly miss this place when my time comes to ring the bell. Im thankful for so many of you praying for me, I’m sure Jesus is tired of hearing my name so often. In the dark and the light He is close by, which has helped carry be through to this point and to this happy day of good news.
